Here is where we share details of our collaborative work, as KICA serves as a liaison between our business affiliates and our members. This work is led by our Member Programs Office. We:
1) Provide KICA Presidents with input and recommendations on issues and items where collective contracting could be useful, attractive, and feasible
2) Review proposals for collective contracts and provide KICA Board with recommendations on such proposals
3) Support KICA efforts to increase usage of collective contracts among member institutions as well as usage of individual elective contracts.
Further, KICA is a member of The Coalition for College Cost Savings (The Coalition). The Coalition is a group purchasing organization that supports KICA and other state-level higher education member organizations by creating opportunities for member colleges and universities to transform processes, reduce cost, and increase efficiencies through negotiated contracts with select service providers. Through The Coalition, KICA is able to offer its members access to collaborative programs that reduce operating costs, streamline operations and ultimately lower the cost of delivering education. For more information about The Coalition and its programs, visit their website.
